The sad fact about the current 1440p TN market is that they're all worse than the best 144hz 1080p TN panels. The Acer XB241HU uses a 1080p 144hz TN panel with G-Sync, is more accurate than the Dell and free from the banding issues. The S2417DG is similarly priced and much better, but it too suffers from obvious banding in dark scenes. The S2716DG also suffers from obvious (144hz) and very obvious overshoot ghosting at 60hz which consoles are locked to. If the Asus uses an accurate TN panel (can't find proper reviews) then the Dell is a downgrade since it has low-ish gamma (washed out colors) and obvious banding in dark scenes.
